How does it work?

No anesthesia is required, and no incisions are made because it is the non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Even though the results may not be as dramatic as that from liposuction, Coolsculpting® will cause permanent, visible changes as long as a good diet and a healthy exercise regimen is maintained. Coolsculpting® is FDA cleared for fat reduction in nine different areas of the body by using a safe, proven, process called cryolipolysis. This process infuses specific areas with controlled cooling, which triggers a decrease in the number of fat cells in the treated area. After the treatment, the body will gradually remove the fat cells that have died, therefore results are not immediate, but as the fat removal process continues the improvements to the shape of your body are more easily discernible.

Yes, you can. The CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Often times, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting session is over.
