Shannon Gibson, RN
Cosmetic Nurse Injector
With 18 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and a foundation in nursing from St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Shannon Gibson, RN, brings extensive clinical experience and a refined approach to aesthetic medicine. Since specializing in cosmetic injections in 2015, she has combined her clinical knowledge with an artistic eye to create thoughtful, individualized treatment plans for her patients.
Shannon’s approach is centered on patient safety, personalized care, and results that feel natural and balanced. She has completed advanced training in neuromodulators and dermal fillers, including Botox® and the JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers, with a focus on facial balancing, lip enhancement, and comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
Committed to continued growth in aesthetic medicine, Shannon regularly pursues advanced education and training to remain current with evolving techniques, products, and best practices. Her nearly two decades of nursing experience provide a strong clinical foundation for the precision, attention to detail, and patient centered care she brings to every treatment.
For Shannon, aesthetics is about more than a treatment. It is about understanding each patient’s goals, respecting their individual features, and creating a plan designed to help them feel confident while still looking like themselves.
Outside of The Retreat, Shannon enjoys spending time with family and friends and making meaningful memories with the people she loves most.
Teri Steele, LPN
Cosmetic Nurse Injector
With more than 30 years of nursing experience, Teri Steele, LPN, brings an exceptional depth of clinical knowledge and experience to her role as a Cosmetic Nurse Injector at The Retreat. Since specializing in cosmetic injections in 2012, Teri has developed a thoughtful, detail oriented approach centered on enhancing each patient’s natural features while maintaining balance and authenticity.
Teri has completed extensive advanced training in neuromodulators and dermal fillers, including Botox® and the JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers. Her experience includes facial balancing, lip enhancement, volume restoration, and comprehensive facial rejuvenation. She also has a particular interest in Sculptra®, incorporating collagen stimulating treatments into personalized plans designed to gradually restore support and address visible changes associated with aging.
Understanding that aesthetic care is never one size fits all, Teri takes time to evaluate facial anatomy, proportions, skin quality, and each patient’s individual goals before recommending treatment. Her extensive experience allows her to look beyond a single area of concern and consider how each treatment contributes to the face as a whole.
Continuing education remains an important part of Teri’s practice. She regularly participates in advanced aesthetic training to refine her techniques and remain current with evolving approaches, products, and best practices in aesthetic medicine.
What Teri values most is the relationship she develops with her patients. She believes the best aesthetic results should complement the individual, not change who they are, and finds it especially rewarding to help patients feel confident and cared for throughout their aesthetic journey.
Outside of The Retreat, Teri enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with their two children and their families.
Amy A. Vaughan, M.D.
Dr. Vaughan established Amy Vaughan Dermatology, PLLC, in 2006, in an effort to provide superior skin care and bring the latest technology and techniques in adult and pediatric dermatology to the Tristate region. She is highly regarded as an authority in general and cosmetic dermatology by both patients and fellow dermatologists in the Tristate area with over 25 years of experience.
Ben Moosavi, M.D.
Dr. Ben Moosavi established Ultimate Plastic Surgery in 2013 and has earned a growing reputation in our Tristate area as the go to surgeon for all your plastic and reconstructive surgery needs. He has been voted best in the Tristate by the Herald Dispatch community for eight years in a row for the safe, top notch care he provides in plastics, aesthetics and reconstructive surgery. His knowledge, respect and compassion for his patients is unmatched in his field—with good reason too.
Denise Russell, FNP, Nurse Practitioner
Denise completed her BSN in 2005 and became a board certified nurse practitioner in 2010. Denise has worked with Dr. Moosavi since 2016 and is a certified laser operator, laser safety officer, as well as a certified neurotoxin and filler injector. She loves to see each patient reach their goals and gain confidence through their aesthetic journey. During her downtime, Denise enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters.
Katie Davis, FNP, Nurse Practitioner
Katie Davis, is a board certified nurse practitioner with 8 years of cutting edge expertise in plastic surgery and 4 years of mastery in injectables. With her dynamic background working alongside Dr. Moosavi, Katie seamlessly merges artistry with precision, sculpting beauty in both the operating room and clinical practice. During her down time, Katie enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves learning and growing in all areas of her life; professionally, personally and spiritually.
Bailey Lowe, RN, Nurse Injector
Bailey Joseph, RN, is a registered nurse with a passion for aesthetics and a commitment to helping patients feel confident in their own skin. She graduated from St. Mary’s School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.
With a strong interest in aesthetic medicine, Bailey is continuing to advance her education and training alongside our experienced providers, focusing on safety, precision, and natural looking results. She is dedicated to creating a comfortable experience for every patient while delivering thoughtful, personalized care.
During her downtime, Bailey enjoys spending time with her mini bernedoodle and traveling.
